We have said this before one thing we are learning in Indiana that the weather can change in an instance!
Working at a desk all day can cause one to become sedentary. Elder Davis and I have decided once every hour we will get up and walk a couple times around in the building. It gives us a little exercise but also gives us an opportunity to visit about our responsibilities and brain storm.

Last week we enjoyed a day of sunshine and warmth 77 degrees! A glorious walk outsideš„°

The next day torrential rain! Can you spot me through the windshield?ļæ¼

Getting from the car to the Mission office without getting soaked was a challenge!! With the rain has come some serious wind the last couple days. No mountains to stop the storms. The whistling wind through our bedroom window causes sleep to be delayed or interrupted for me. On the other hand Elder Davis seems to have no problemš Yes we have had some Tornado warnings in parts of our mission but luckily no actual tornados.
Monday I ran into Costco right when it opened to grab a few things for next weekās zone conference the weather was chilly but no precipitation. When I came out a blizzard was going on! I had parked close and only had 8 items to toss in the car. You would have laughed if you watched me! I had to close my eyes partway and look down as the blowing snow hit me in the face and pushed me back a bit. I ran to the car threw things in and left my cart in the parking slot right next to our carā¦. Yes I was one of those people!

Still had snow everywhere! So much for curling my hair that dayš
Speaking of changeš„° One of our sets of Sister missionaries went out to their car in the morning and discovered they had a flat tire. They called Elder Davis for directions on what to do. They had never changed a flat so he decided to drive the 20 minutes to help.

When he got there one of the sisters said she wanted to learn so Elder Davis held the umbrella while she changed it! Mission accomplished!

Yesterday morning 10am 2 cars from the Kentucky mission arrived! It was snowing.

6pm YES the same day 3 cars arrived from Chicago! We have needed more cars for our ever growing mission.

Elder Davis is one HAPPY vehicle coordinator! He will be busy getting cars inspected, license plates and āTiWiā in them, the driving assistance device. We have several companionships sharing cars in large areas who will benefit.ā„ļø
This week is Transfer week again canāt believe it has been 6weeks already since the last one!

With the help of DEAR Sister Tuckett and Sister Shawcroft our Sister sisters the bedding bags are ready for incoming missionaries again. They fly in tonight.

17 missionaries are coming in and 20 are headed home. 37 lives experiencing a mighty change.
It has been said by Bruce Barton that, āWhen weāre through changingā , weāre through.ā There is no age when we are too old or too young or just too middle-aged to changeā ā . We should remain teachable. How easy it is to become set. We must be willing to establish goals whether we are sixty, seventy, fifty, or fifteen. Maintain a zest for life. Never should there be a time when we are unwilling to improve ourselves through meaningful changeā ā¦
The change from this life to a life with Him who is our Eternal Father is the ultimate goal to which meaningful change can bring us. I pray we will all seek and accept wholesome, orderly changes for the betterment of our personal lives. Progress through Change By Elder Marvin J. Ashton

President Hinckley described what happens to the heart of every missionary who commits his or her life and work to the Lord when he talked about his own missionary experiences. It was early in his mission, and he was discouraged. The work was hard, and the people were not receptive. However, there came a time when discouragement turned to commitment. For him, the beginning was a letter from his father in which he read: āDear Gordon, I have your letter. ⦠I have only one suggestion: Forget yourself and go to work.ā In describing what happened next, he said: āI got on my knees in that little bedroom ⦠and made a pledge that I would try to give myself unto the Lord.
āThe Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of the people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. ⦠Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human natureā (āBorn of God,ā Ensign, Nov. 1985, 6 President Benson)

āThe whole world changedā . The fog lifted. The sun began to shine in my life. I had a new interest. I saw the beauty of this land. I saw the greatness of the people. ⦠Everything that has happened to me since thatās been good I can trace to that decision made in that little houseā

President Hinckley continued by saying: āYou want to be happy? Forget yourself and get lost in this great cause, and bend your efforts to helping peopleā(in Church News, Sept. 9, 1995, 4).
We LOVE YOU ALL!
