Last Sunday the heat stopped working in half the building. The Bishop got up at the end of sacrament and let us know the Nursery and primary rooms on the south side of the building were without heat. He then said the nursery would be moved to the gym. I had a sudden flash of 20 little kids (we have a large nursery) running all over the gym and nursery leaders trying to catch them🤪. I was grateful at that moment not to be a nursery leader.

After church I popped my head in the gym and snagged this picture. A GIANT playpen BRILLIANT!! Of course the Leaders had it all figured out and the lack of 1/2 the building was no big deal!
During the week Sister Davis and I try to walk around the church ever hour. Because it is so cold outside currently we are walking inside. It is a Stake center so it is a big building. We begin our walk going through the chapel as it is near the office and make a couple circles around. It is CRAZY there is a certain spot in the hall that wraps around the building that heat STOPS and COLD is felt about 20 degrees cooler as we go down that side of the building then HEAT hits and all is good. We have learned we walk faster when it is cold. 🤣

We are grateful to work in a warm office. It is well within the teens, and with wind chill it goes into the minus. But we have warm hearts and feel the love of our Savior that keeps us going and wanting to help the work of the Lord to move forward. We are amazed at the faith and resilience of our missionaries. Our mission president has counseled us to “Win the Winter”. Our missionaries certainly are.
I came across a talk By Elder David F. Evans and he summed up my thoughts exactly. He said,
“Even though it is cold, we go forth with determination to fulfill the work we were called to do.”
We have 6 inches of snow so far and it is still snowing. Church canceled today and School tomorrow. Not sure how this will affect our week but we go forward with Faith.

We are Winning the Winter❣️
We join our prayers with so many others as this storm comes upon us and half the country is gripped with bitter cold and snow. Sister Davis and I pray that all can find shelter, warmth, safety and kindness. That the Lord will send angels to minister to those in need and when prompted you and I can be some of those angels💖 We Love You!

We love reading your blog posts and seeing you in action.
We have a few questions you might wish to answer for the group and some just for us.
What do you do on your p-days? Do you have a mission car to drive different places? What are the general hours you work each day?
Last questions: are in the mission office almost every day? Do you have an office in the mission office?
