As you can imagine it has been busy as we prepare every needful thing to be ready to leave Washington and head to Utah for the MTC (Missionary Training Center) on October 20th.

A brief recap..,

Our family gathered for my birthday Oct 11th. Everyone accounted for, we are 31 strong now and each one is DEARLY LOVED by Scott and I! Thank you family best birthday present – time spent together!

October 12th more family gathered again as we gave our farewell talks at church. Parents, children, grandchildren, cousins, siblings, nieces and nephews… as well as many dear friends. Thank you for your constant love and support.

Whirlwind of packing followed as we got our home ready for the Larkins, and said goodbyes.

We were set apart as full time missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by President David Mann Tuesday Oct 14th in the home of Scotts parents. A tender, humbling experience. We pray we can serve the Lord with all our heart, might, mind, and strength and share the JOY of Jesus Christ.

Yes tearful goodbyes but both parents have served full-time missions. Scott’s parents Trinidad, West Indies mission 1996-1997 and Everett, Washington Mission 2001-2003. My parents Alaska Anchorage Mission 2002-2004.

They loved their missions and are excited for us and will be cheering us on as we go forward to serve in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission.

Years ago when our children were young and in junior high- high school, they said it was not cool to say I love you to your siblings in public. So we came up with a “code word” for love that they could say when passing their brother or sister in the hall and that was SKITTLES❣️

YES we will miss our AMAZING family and friends whom we love dearly.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds it. So we go forward with faith trusting the Lord knows the way and will continue to guide and bless you all while we are apart 💝

SKITTLES❣️Elder and Sister Davis
