This week found us on a road trip north to check out the future offices for the Fort Wayne mission.

We met with Brother Don Solomon who is over facilities and visited the Okelberry’s future apartment, temporary mission office, future mission office and Mission home all about 20 minutes away from each other.

We were asked after seeing the plans to give suggestions. There was much to think about and discuss. We made several plan changes and submitted them up the chain.

The rest of the week has been interesting! Monday during the Memorial Day breakfast a leak was discovered under the floor in the church by the kitchen a bubble of water under the carpet caused the need for the water to be turned off. Synchronized bathroom breaks when water was temporarily turned on by Elder Davis and finally fancy Mobile bathroom made it possible to continue training at the office all week.

More pieces for the Fort Wayne Mission arrive daily. Elder Davis and Elder Okelberry are holding gas cards for missionary cars.

Sister Okelberry and I went shopping to gather a few supplies to start preparing for future zone conference it’s coming again in a little over 2 weeks!

Recently 2 of our grandchildren graduated from High School. Nate and Alicia’s Cami from Mount Crest high school, and Phil and Nichole’s Harrison from American Heritage👏🏻💙 Such an accomplishment for both!

Cami will be headed to Utah Valley University in the fall and Harrison on a full-time mission to Lancing Michigan right next door to us!

Artwork done by Cami and her boyfriend.

As graduation happens, summer begins and travel season starts I was reminded of the Dr Seuss book “Oh the Places you’ll Go.”

It’s a whimsical graduation story told in rhyme encouraging readers of all ages to embrace new phases of life, make their own choices, and find success through perseverance.

All good advise for sure but it misses the greatest resource anyone can have and that is the Lord’s direction in your life.

He sees the whole picture.

He knows your potential.

He completely understands your heartbreaks, challenges and fears.

He wants the BEST for you!

He wants you to succeed you are His child.

He LOVES YOU!

Jeffery R Holland said…”God doesn’t care nearly as much about where you have been as He does about where you are and, with His help, where you are willing to go…

Some of you may wonder: Is there any future for me? What does a new year or a new semester, a new major or a new romance, a new job or a new home hold for me? Will I be safe? Will life be sound? Can I trust in the Lord and in the future? Or would it be better to look back, to go back, to stay in the past?

To all such of every generation, I call out, “Remember Lot’s wife.” Faith is for the future. Faith builds on the past but never longs to stay there. Faith trusts that God has great things in store for each of us and that Christ truly is the “high priest of good things to come” (Hebrews 9:11).”The Best is yet to Be” By Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

So as each of us contemplate this summer or this season of our lives “What shall I do? Where shall I go?”

Don’t forget to ask the Master of heaven and earth, our Savior. “What would YOU have me do? Where would YOU have me go?”

We went to the Temple. If you zoom in you will see a falcon on the trumpet of the angel Moroni. Like the falcon the Lord can help you see the bigger picture!

He will make more of your life than you ever thought possible! Elder Davis and I are living proof of that and Oh the Places You’ll Go! 🥰

We Miss and Love you all💕 Forward with Faith.
